With three kids, I am all too aware of all these situations. I thought that I had heard it all when it came to how to react but I actually read a few new things that I think I am going to try. Specifically, making sure that my punishment fits the crime. Sometimes I am so mad that I just want to punish them and forget how to make it really fit what happened. Another great article.

Dimaris, thank you for another gem! I think every mom and childcare provider who has a toddler or a group of toddlers needs to read this. I needed to be reminded about how hard it is for them to make , what to them is, a major shift in their normal lifestyle. I took down my son's crib and just moved him...he was easy..but they are not ALL that easy!

Thank you Dimaris for posting this article- wow! I have been thinking that even with my regular daily (spf50 of course!!) coverage of sunblock, that I was still getting my vitamin D. I do it every single day for 15 minutes I sit in the sun in the yard while the kids play. Now I realize that I may not be getting what I need so I will make a change! Thank you so much. I plan to tell my friends about this article.

I love this article about breakfast! I am trying to improve my breakfast habits (i usually skip breakfast) and set a better example for the kids. We have started making breakfast a main focus. I prepare foods ahead.,..just like the article is recommending...I chop veggies or arrange my pans the night before...whatever it takes to motivate me at 6:45am the next day to give 100% to breakfast. My main problem at breakfast is I prefer lunch/dinner foods. My solution: Eat what you like- but eat more of it in the morning!

This is very informative about how to care for toddler teeth. I admit, I am often the most afraid of going to the dentist and the thought of having to start taking my child after their first birthday seems like just one more chore to add to the growing list. Don't get me wrong, I want to do the right thing for my child, but sometimes the pediatric dentists and hygienists come on strong. I use a common sense approach. We brush, we practice flossing...occassionally and we talk about the foods that stick to your teeth. The first set will be lost anyway so I focus on gum care and creating the habit for the child...getting used to brushing before bed and after breakfast.
